Dear Highlandville Families,

Welcome to another amazing year at Highlandville Elementary!

I am so excited to kick off the 2026-2027 school year and welcome both new and returning Owl families! This year marks my 13th year in education, 12th year in Spokane, and 8th year as principal at Highlandville Elementary and Little Owls Learning Center. Time really does fly when you're doing what you love!

There truly is no place I'd rather be. Our students, families, and staff are what make Highlandville and LOLC so special. Every day, we work hard to create a school where kids feel safe, loved, challenged, and excited to learn. We laugh a lot, celebrate big accomplishments (and little ones!), cheer each other on, and make memories that last long after the school year ends.

A little about me... I'm married to my husband, Cody, and we have two kiddos who keep us busy and are proud Owls themselves! When I'm not at school, you'll usually find me behind my camera photographing families and weddings, riding horses with my daughter, chasing my son around, or spending time on our little hobby farm with our horses and whatever other adventure we've somehow added along the way. I love being outside, making memories with my family, and finding joy in the little things.

This year's theme is "Owl in This Together," and I truly believe that's what Highlandville is all about. When families and school work together, incredible things happen for kids. We are one team, and I can't wait to partner with you throughout the year.

Thank you for sharing your children with us. They are the heart of everything we do, and I promise our staff will love, encourage, and challenge them every single day.
